10 Downing Street is the official residence of the British Prime Minister. Since 22/09/1735, there have been 55 Prime Ministers, with Tony Blair being the sole exception to residing there. The door of its gate gained notoriety in 1991 when an attacker attempted to throw a bomb during a cabinet meeting; however, it was decisively deflected back into the garden. This imposing door can only be opened from the inside and requires at least eight men to operate.
There is another great door. This is what Christians go through to get salvation. That door is none other than Jesus. He has become a great gate for us because He is the way that leads us to the Father. We read in John 10:9. “I am the gate, whoever enters through me will be saved. And He said once again;
“I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
John 14:6
Along with that, Jesus also says that a person has a door that he must open to enter. Revelation 3:20 says; “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.
What are you waiting for brother? When do you think it would be good for you to open the door of your heart? You can do that right now, by letting Jesus into your heart. Entering your heart will bring you unparalleled peace, joy, and tranquility.
