'BRING YOUR NATHANAEL TO JESUS'

Prepared by Pr. Setako Sophonie

Event March 26, 2024

“I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.”

John 09:04

I am delighted to share with all the listeners the joyful tale of a baptism that recently occurred in the North Rwanda Field.

As it was discussed during Rwanda union mission and north Rwanda field year-end meeting, it was emphasized that the upcoming year, 2024, is designated as an evangelistic period with the ambitious goal of doubling the Seventh-day Adventist church members!

As part of the East-Central Division’s objective to double our believers by the close of 2025, the North Rwanda Field has adopted robust initiatives to fulfill this goal. This aligns with the principle of urging each believer to actively contribute by bringing another soul into the church. Indeed, it’s akin to the biblical concept of ‘Bring Your Nathanael to Jesus!’

NRF is taking steps to double believers. Each church is asked to plan a seasonal evangelistic campaign through different church ministries. The family ministry will handle the first season, the publishing ministry the second, and the third will include meetings led by people from abroad but originally from this region, called “Home Coming Evangelistic Campaign.” Youth meetings are set for the third term, and the last term will have a children’s section with support from women, girls (MIFEM) ministry, and singers.

Due to various initiatives, throughout our Field, on the Sabbath of 02/03/2024, the Family Ministry organized a baptism, as depicted in the accompanying photos. While the exact figures are not finalized, we had approximately 367 sites, with about 2/3 of them achieving success. Anticipating new members to our church family in these locations, we look forward to further baptisms on the upcoming Sabbath for those who started their evangelistic campaigns later.

When Paul bid farewell to the Ephesian church, he stated, “…I am determined to complete my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the good news of God’s grace.” (Acts 20:24)

WITH GOD’S HELP, VICTORY IS OURS!
